For comedy clubs & promoters
Sell out every show. Keep every penny.
Ticketing built for comedy nights — flat monthly pricing, instant Stripe payouts, and a door-list that works on the back of a busy bar. No percentage fees, ever.
Why comedy clubs switch to TicketOtter
Most ticketing platforms were built for stadiums and conferences — and they charge accordingly. We built one for the room above the pub.
- Flat monthly fee, not a slice of your door — A £6 ticket should bring in £6, not £4.80 after the platform takes its cut. We charge a flat subscription — your ticket revenue is yours.
- Money lands in your Stripe within 24 hours — Direct Stripe payouts mean cash flow that actually keeps up with a weekly residency — no waiting two weeks for a settlement.
- A door list that works in a noisy room — Scan QR codes from a phone or search the guest list by name. Works offline-friendly when the venue Wi-Fi inevitably dies.
- Comp tickets and guest list, sorted — Free tickets for press, friends-of-the-act and walk-ups don't count against your monthly allowance — they're just tickets.
Everything a comedy night needs
Designed for weekly clubs, monthly showcases, festivals and one-off touring shows.
- Early bird, standard & door tickets — Set up multiple ticket types with their own price, quantity and on-sale window. Crank prices on the night for walk-ups.
- Discount codes for regulars — Reward your mailing list, comp the press, run two-for-one deals — all from one screen, with a usage cap if you want one.
- Door scanning that works in a noisy room — Scan QR codes or search the guest list by name from any phone. Comp tickets and walk-ups handled in one screen.
- A dashboard you can read at a glance — See ticket revenue, refunds, attendance and check-in rate per show. Spot the nights that sell, the ones that drag.
Built by people who ran comedy nights, for people who run comedy nights
We started TicketOtter because we got tired of watching independent promoters lose 15–20% of every sub-£10 ticket to platforms designed for arena tours. A flat monthly fee makes the maths simple: every extra ticket sold is more money in your pocket, not theirs. It also means we don't pretend to know more than you do about your room. The tools are deliberately simple — make a page, sell a ticket, scan it at the door, look at the numbers in the morning. No sales call. No onboarding fee. No quarterly business review.
“We've tried three ticketing platforms in two years. TicketOtter's the first one that doesn't take a slice of every door — which on a sub-£10 ticket is the difference between a comedy night that breaks even and one that doesn't.”
Comedy-night FAQs
Can I do walk-ups and pay-on-the-door tickets?
Yes. You can keep selling on TicketOtter right up until the show starts, and walk-ups can buy from their phone in the queue. If you'd rather take cash on the door, just don't put those seats on sale online — your check-in screen still tracks the room.
How do comp tickets work?
Create a 100%-off discount code (or a free ticket type) and either share the code with the act/press, or generate the comp ticket yourself from the dashboard. Comp tickets count as orders but with £0 owed.
What happens if a headliner pulls out and we have to cancel?
Refund the whole night with one click — every ticket goes back to the original payment method through Stripe. We don't charge a fee for refunds, and your subscription tickets aren't counted against you.
We do free open-mic nights. Are those still useful here?
Free events skip Stripe entirely — no processing fees at all — and you still get a check-in list, RSVP cap, and a proper event page. The really neat thing is - they're 100% free! Free events are free to run.
