Create and publish an event
Set up a new event, price its tickets and put it on sale.
Creating an event takes a few minutes. It stays a private draft until you publish it, so you can take your time getting it right.
Start a new event
- Press New event. It's at the top of the menu on every page.
- Enter the Event name.
- Choose Free or Paid. Free events never cost you anything; paid events take payments into your own account.
- Choose where it's held: In person (add the venue and address) or Virtual (paste the meeting link, or add it later). Buyers get the meeting link after they book.
- Choose Single event and set when it starts and ends. Running it on several dates? See Run an event on several dates.
- Check the Timezone, then press Create event.
Add the details and tickets
You land on Event settings. Everything here can be changed later.
- Description: tell people what to expect. The date and location are just below it if you need to change them.
- Tickets: a General Admission ticket is added for you. Press the pencil to set its price and how many you have, or Add ticket for more types. See Set up your tickets.
- Design and page elements: choose a theme and colour, and add a cover image, your logo, FAQs and more.
Changes to the details and design are kept when you press Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the screen. The bar says when you have unsaved changes. Tickets are different: they save as soon as you add or edit them.
Publish
- Press Preview event to see the page exactly as buyers will.
- Press Publish. The event goes live and tickets go on sale straight away.
- Copy the link or QR code, or share straight to social media. They're always at the top of the event too.
Selling paid tickets? Make sure you've set up a way to get paid under Payments in the menu (card payments with Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer).
Changed your mind? Use the … menu at the top of the event to unpublish it or delete it.
